Celebrating Our Own: Local Caregiver Named Seniors Helping Seniors® Caregiver of the Year

Seniors Helping Seniors® 21 Nov 2025

We are thrilled to share some wonderful news that has our entire Seniors Helping Seniors® Boulder County team bursting with pride. One of our own — Lafayette resident Lynn Quintana — has been named the 2025 Seniors Helping Seniors® Caregiver of the Year, a national honor recognizing caregivers who go above and beyond in their commitment to uplifting the lives of local seniors.

At 74, Lynn has built her caregiving career around one guiding principle: care is at its best when it’s rooted in genuine connection. To her, caregiving isn’t just a job — it’s a relationship.

“They become family to me,” she shared during her recent feature in the Longmont Times-Call.

A Well-Deserved Honor
Each year, Seniors Helping Seniors® recognizes one exceptional caregiver across its 200+ locations worldwide. Lynn’s dedication, compassion, and steady presence made her stand out — especially to our owner, Colleen Elliott, who nominated her.

Colleen describes Lynn as someone who can “put anyone at ease just by walking into the room” and praises her ability to remain grounded and confident in even the toughest caregiving scenarios.

Lynn has been part of our Boulder County team for nearly two years, bringing with her over three decades of caregiving experience. In addition to serving clients of all needs — including individuals living with Parkinson’s disease and dementia — she also plays an essential role in training and mentoring new caregivers.

Her schedule often begins before sunrise, and she consistently adjusts her time to support clients on weekends or overnight when needed. This flexibility and devotion to service are what make her such a perfect fit for the Seniors Helping Seniors® mission.

The Heart of Her Work: Connection
One of Lynn’s clients, 83-year-old Joseph Baker of Longmont, says Lynn has brought joy, movement, and companionship back into his life.

When she arrives, the day shifts.

She prepares his lunch, trims his beard, shares long walks, watches movies, and talks with him about his years in the military. Most importantly, she helps him stay engaged.

“She wouldn’t let me just sit there,” Baker said. “She would get me involved in different stuff.”

His daughter, Joanna, echoed this, calling Lynn a true confidant — someone her father deeply trusts and learns from.

A Caregiver Who Lives Our Mission
Lynn often says that caregiving “gives meaning” to her life and that everything she gives, she receives back “doublefold.”

That spirit of mutual support is exactly what defines our Seniors Helping Seniors® community. We are honored to have Lynn on our team and grateful for the warmth and stability she brings to every family she serves.

Thank You, Lynn
Please join us in congratulating Lynn on this incredible and well-earned national recognition. Her dedication embodies what compassionate, relationship-based senior care can — and should — look like.

We are inspired by her every day.
