Standing Up for Families: Kathy Uveges Represents North Carolina at the AIM Advocacy Forum

We are incredibly proud to celebrate Kathy Uveges from Seniors Helping Seniors® Raleigh for representing North Carolina at the AIM Advocacy Forum.

As a first-time attendee, Kathy stepped into an important national conversation and brought with her something powerful—her heart for families impacted by Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias.

At the forum, Kathy spoke up about the critical importance of early detection, timely treatment, and meaningful support systems for individuals and families navigating Alzheimer’s. Her message was clear: no family should face this journey alone, and no one should have to wait for answers or support when time matters most.

Her voice was not just professional—it was personal, compassionate, and grounded in the everyday realities families face. That perspective is what makes advocacy so powerful. It bridges policy and lived experience, turning statistics into stories and challenges into action.

Kathy’s participation is a reminder of why this work matters so deeply. Alzheimer’s disease doesn’t just impact individuals—it impacts entire families, caregivers, and communities. Having advocates who are willing to speak up ensures that those families are seen, heard, and supported.

At Seniors Helping Seniors®in-home care, we believe in the power of compassionate care and community connection. Kathy exemplifies those values in action. By showing up, speaking out, and advocating for change, she is helping to ensure that families have more time, more answers, and more support when they need it most.

We are grateful for her leadership, her courage, and her dedication to serving others.

Thank you, Kathy, for being such a strong and compassionate voice for families, older adults, and the Seniors Helping Seniors® community.
