National Vietnam Veterans Day

“We hope everyone will join together on March 29, 2022, to honor Vietnam Veterans and their families during this 5th anniversary of National Vietnam War Veterans Day,” said Phil Waite, chief of strategic engagement for The United States of America Vietnam War Commemoration. “These warriors – our Nation’s blood and treasure from a generation ago – deserve the Nation’s deepest gratitude!”

National Vietnam War Veterans Day is next week, and it is the perfect time to create a new meaningful tradition for a Vietnam Veteran. As a part of a national effort to recognize the men and women who were denied a proper welcome upon returning home more than 40 years ago, The Vietnam War Veterans Recognition Act of 2017 was established as a day of national observance to honor the men and women whose sacrifices should not be forgotten.

You can start by hanging a flag outside your home or office to promote the day.  This is the perfect time to show your support and make the day of a Vietnam Veteran whose homecoming was less than welcoming.

Join Seniors Helping Seniors in saying Thank You to a Vietnam Veteran for their service to our nation throughout the month of March.
