Seniors Helping Seniors of North & East Raleigh was excited to be a sponsor at the FTD caregiver conference hosted by Dementia Alliance of NC and Wright State of Mind. FTD affects an estimated 50,000 Americans and represents10%-20% of all Dementia cases. It most commonly occurs in the younger population of adults aged 45-64. This conference brought together experts in the field from UNC hospital, Triangle Aphasia Project (TAP) and a panel of individuals who shared their expertise and knowledge on how to care for a loved one with the FTD.
