Seniors Helping Seniors® Tri-Cities recognized in the Kingsport Times News Readers’ Choice Awards for 2025 and 2026

Seniors Helping Seniors® Tri-Cities has some exciting news to share about home care in Kingsport—and an even bigger thank you to give to our community.

We have been recognized in the 2026 Kingsport Times News Readers’ Choice Awards as Best Home Care Provider – Regional and Best Senior Services.

What makes this recognition even more meaningful is that it marks the second year in a row our community has chosen to recognize Seniors Helping Seniors® Tri-Cities through the Readers’ Choice Awards.

Being recognized once is an incredible honor. Being recognized two years running means even more because of what these awards represent: the trust of the people and families in the community we are privileged to serve.

More Than an Award

When a family begins looking for help for an aging parent, choosing a home care provider is an incredibly personal decision.

You’re inviting someone into your loved one’s home. You’re trusting that person to treat your mother, father, grandparent, spouse, or other loved one with the same patience, dignity, and respect you would want for your own family.

That’s why this recognition means so much to us.

For Seniors Helping Seniors® Tri-Cities, the Readers’ Choice Awards aren’t simply about being named a winner. They’re a reminder of the responsibility that comes with earning a family’s trust—and the importance of continuing to earn that trust with every visit.

The Caregivers Behind the Recognition

While our name may appear on the award, this recognition belongs in large part to the caregivers who walk through our clients’ doors every day.

They’re the ones sharing conversations over a cup of coffee, preparing a favorite meal, helping with personal care, providing a ride to an appointment, folding laundry, running an errand, or simply sitting down and spending meaningful time with someone who could use the company.

At Seniors Helping Seniors® Tri-Cities, we believe great home care is about more than completing a list of tasks.

It’s about relationships.

Our unique approach connects older adults with caregivers who provide compassionate assistance, companionship, and understanding. Many of our caregivers bring their own life experience to the relationship, helping create connections that can feel less like receiving help and more like spending time with a trusted friend.

Helping Tri-Cities Seniors Remain Independent

For many older adults, home represents independence, familiarity, memories, and comfort.

Sometimes, just a little assistance can make it possible to continue enjoying those things.

Seniors Helping Seniors® Tri-Cities provides non-medical in-home care designed around the individual needs of each client. Depending on those needs, support may include:

  • Companionship

  • Personal care and assistance with daily activities

  • Meal preparation

  • Light housekeeping and laundry

  • Transportation and errands

  • Medication reminders

  • Respite for family caregivers

  • Mobility assistance

  • Support for individuals experiencing memory changes

Our goal isn’t to take over someone’s life. It’s to provide the right amount of support to help that person continue living it.

We’re also proud to serve older adults and families throughout Johnson City, Bristol, and surrounding communities across the Tri-Cities region.

Every day, we have the opportunity to meet remarkable seniors, family members, caregivers, healthcare professionals, and community partners. Those relationships are an important part of what Seniors Helping Seniors® Tri-Cities has become.

Receiving recognition through a local Readers’ Choice program is particularly meaningful because it comes from the same community we’re here to serve.

To Our Clients and Families: Thank You

To every family who has trusted us with someone you love: thank you.

We understand that trust is never something a home care provider should take for granted.

Whether you’ve needed companionship a few hours at a time, help with everyday activities, respite for a family caregiver, or more extensive support to help a loved one remain at home, we appreciate the opportunity to be part of your family’s story.

To Our Caregivers: This Is Your Award Too

To our caregivers: thank you for what you do when nobody is watching.

Thank you for the conversations, patience, flexibility, laughs, reassurance, and countless small acts of kindness that don’t necessarily appear on a care plan.

Those moments matter.

They’re also a big part of what makes Seniors Helping Seniors® care special.

Two Years Running—and Still Working to Earn Your Trust

We’re incredibly grateful to be recognized again in the Kingsport Times News Readers’ Choice Awards.

But we’re even more grateful for what made that recognition possible.

Your trust.

Winning an award doesn’t mean our work is finished. It gives us another reason to keep improving, keep listening, and keep working to provide the kind of home care we would want for our own families.

From all of us at Seniors Helping Seniors® Tri-Cities, thank you, Kingsport and the greater Tri-Cities community, for recognizing us for a second year.

We look forward to continuing to serve our area’s seniors and their families for many years to come.
